Cancer Research Studies And Its Various Findings

Cancer has been a widely researched term in the medical field and is known to be caused by an undisclosed growth of body cells. Today, cancer can occur at any part of the body and is known as a tumor at its initial phase. Tumors are of two types, namely the malignant and the benign. Most of the tumors, if detected at an early phase can be cured and only in some instances turns out to be cancerous. Research has shown that tumors can rapidly multiply themselves in a short period of time leading to cancer. There is no instant cure for healing tumors without having to undergo surgical operations. Though, there are developments happening on the medical front the exact cure is yet to be found for treating cancer.

There are various types of medications that are administered to cancer patients but only a few make it through while the rest are met with failure. A lot of new ideologies and theories have been put forth by renowned medical experts for curing cancer but cannot guarantee 100% cure. Recently, there has been a ray of hope for people suffering from leukemia and doctors assure that there would an increase in the survival rate of these patients.

With advanced technologies and researches, there has been a discovery of a new therapy to cure cancer and prevent its further growth. Much of this research work is still ongoing and the results are yet to be proved. The developed drug is yet to be administered to cancer patients and guarantees to cure them at the earliest. These tests were conducted at the piper cancer centre in Virginia and are yet to be approved from various other medical centers. Drugs such as the PCI have been targeted to reduce the growth of the lymphatic cells. It creates an immune system thus regulating the needed antibodies to counteract against the excess growth of cell.

Medical world has cleared these drugs in their initial phases to stunt the growth of cancerous cells. Besides these drugs, there is another drug by the name of Provenge and is used to cure prostate cancer. It was developed by a group of medical team working at the Stanford cancer research centre. It got duly approved on February 2010 and has been successful in treating patients with prostate cancer. It works by identifying the weak cells and builds up the resistance to work its way through the cancerous cells.

Therapy treatments are still in vogue but are more expensive and can only help in extending the life of the patient in their initial stages. With the newly developed drugs such as Provenge and PCI, there is still hope left for all us to battle against cancer. There are rapid developments that are taking place to unravel new medical breakthroughs to cure cancer. It is only by medical researches and tests, that a cure can be witnessed soon enough for battling cancer. With many medical organizations joining hands to develop new drugs, cancer could be eventually overcome in the coming years.
